Luie became part of the British Grove Studios team in 2021, quickly establishing himself as a trusted, “go-to” recordist and engineer.

Luie’s first experience of recording came playing guitar in his own band live to 16-track analogue tape. These sessions sparked Luie’s fascination with engineering and led him to pursue a career in audio.

Whilst at British Grove Studios, Luie has worked with a wide variety of artists, including engineering on sessions for Judas Priest and David Gilmour. He has also assisted for Peter Gabriel and Sam Fender, and has worked on a number of Dolby Atmos mix sessions, helping define workflows and templates for British Grove Studios’ Atmos facilities.
